These experimental garments were created in my Sophomore and Junior year at RISD. The assignment was to create “Loom Based” garments, meaning they had to be made using geometric shapes. I created three garments only using circles and semi-circles to challenge my short-rowing skills. All the other garments were created using this mindset.
I also got the opportunity to contribute to the Bjarne Melgaard X Eckhaus Latta show: Ignorant Transparencies in 2013, where I hand knitted two garments for the show.
The Beetle Chair was a collaborative project, in my Senior year, with a friend in the Industrial Design program at RISD. This chair’s upholstery was inspired by the shape and color of beetles.
